One of the most interesting things about this website might just be the name. “Scintillans vita” sounds like an ancient phrase, maybe because it comes from an ancient (and now dead) language, Latin. If you were to translate “scintillans vita” word for word, you would get “sparkling life”. But there’s more to the name than meets the eye. 

I created this website to write about stories and things that happen in my everyday life. It brings me joy to write about all my stories about horses, fencing, coding, and anything else that I think is interesting. This website is about my life and my journey through my different passions. 

I chose sparkling (or “scintillans”) for 2 different reasons. The first one is that “scintillans” actually gives us the word scintillating, which means excitingly skillful or clever, which are qualities that I hope my website possesses. The second reason is that sparkling is a nice way to describe life. Life is like a shimmering time, and no matter how hard it gets, you can and will get through it if you try hard enough. Something that helps me pass time is write blogs about my passions (such as horse-riding or fencing). 

I enjoy writing blogs and I think that my blogging website deserves an equally passionate name. The reason why I wrote the name in Latin is because I want it to be mysterious and also tap into the reader’s mind. “Sparkling life” is a vague phrase and can mean different things to different people. To me, my “sparkling life” is writing blogs, riding horses, fencing, and learning new things, but it differs from person to person. That’s what’s special about the name of this site and I think it encapsulates the reason why I write my blogs!
