Virtual Reality and AI
Coding and computers have become a hot topic in the past decade or so. There are lots of reasons for that. The most common reason people think that coding has become popular is because tech is innovative, it’s new, it’s stylish. However, coding is more than just an in-fashion hobby. Coding can be thought of as a bridge between a virtual world and reality.
Bridges are important for a lot of reasons. For one, they provide stability over what would otherwise be a void and unusable area. The other, and probably more important reason, is because it connects one place to another, and allows us to travel back and forth. I always think of coding as a bridge between our real world problems and a whole different universe that is at our fingertips. Coding is a gateway to unimaginable possibilities with infinite limits.
Everyday we see advancements in coding and programming all around us. Take for example, ChatGPT (I’ll post a later blog about ChatGPT in detail). One of the most interesting things ChatGPT can do is take code and tell you what it outputs, or do the opposite and write code for a specific purpose. This in turn leads to efficiency within large tech companies because now it won’t take hundreds of hours to write extensive code, rather just a simple one-line prompt.
Along with ChatGPT and AI, virtual reality has become a hot topic as well. Meta (previously known as facebook), plans to enhance the “metaverse”, which runs on this idea of virtual reality Virtual reality is also prevalent in video games and on-screen functionalities as well. I’ve always been fascinated by virtual reality and the way that programs can make you believe that there is something that in “reality”, doesn’t exist.
Opponents to advancements in technology may argue that fancy new programs may cause more harm than good. While that could be the case if it falls into the wrong hands, that can be said for just about all human inventions and discoveries. I believe that with endless opportunities and possibilities, advancements in tech will enable us to create a more advanced world and thousands of new jobs that have never been explored before.
