RADECS and Research (Pt. 2)
A little while ago, I posted my first blog post regarding my research with a professor from the University of Saskatchewan and described in relative detail the procedure and nature of our experiment. I’ll keep this blog post a lot more concise and talk more about the paper’s acceptance into an international conference and my thoughts/feelings at the moment.
Our paper got accepted into the RADECS (RADiation Effects on Components and Systems) conference, and this year it will be in the Canary Islands of Spain. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to be able to present our research and findings in this year’s conference. The conference is in September, so it is still a couple of months away, and I’m quite nervous but also excited to be attending and learning at this huge conference.
In order to prepare, I have been working with the professor and graduate student to compile a list of questions that the audience may ask, along with of course creating a slideshow and remembering what it is that I’m going to say.
Overall, I’m really excited to have this amazing opportunity to learn and grow from others while also teaching them about our amazing research. That’s it for this blog post and I’ll see you in the next one!
